2013-15 Red Dirt Studio at the Firehouse
Artist's notes
Red Dirt is a warehouse studio and incubator for a small group of independently practicing artists and creative professionals, from fresh out of school to nationally known. We share resources, offer critical feedback and push each other toward greater professionalism in our work. It’s a space for projects, ideas and community exchange.
Directed by myself, and Co-Directors J.J. McCracken and Leslie Holt, Red Dirt is at any given time 25-30 resident creatives. We are situated within the Gateway Arts district, along with so many talented artists and arts organizations.
Check out this video from 2014, as Red Dirt was preparing to scale up and move from 19 years in a rented warehouse to our very own firehouse…Thank you to Ike Blake and Letitia VanSant for the amazing video work and music, and thank you to all our community who helped make it happen!
