2014 Tiber Creek and Other Lost Things

This piece was made for a lobby at 2nd and M, NE in Washington, DC. Tiber Creek (no longer in existence in DC) used to run under that site. I used demolition detritus, some red clay from the site, fragments from the new construction (gravel with spray paint) and an 1861 map of DC in the making and underpinnings of this piece. It became about things that are connected to the site, but are no longer visible.
